Buyer I

Job Purpose

The Buyer I is responsible for procuring raw materials, supplies, and finished goods to support daily operations. This position primarily focuses on executing transactional purchasing tasks and maintaining vendor records under close supervision. This position works within the company's ERP system to support purchasing accuracy and efficiency.

Duties and responsibilities:

· Create and manage purchase orders accurately and efficiently within the ERP system.

· Establish and maintain vendor relationships to procure materials and goods while minimizing cash expenditures and optimizing cash flow.

· Support maintenance of vendor records and assist with order confirmations.

· Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders about non-conforming products and monitor delivery performance per ISO standards.

· Assist with identifying slow-moving or excess inventory and work with the appropriate department to deplete.

· Contribute to cost-saving initiatives aligned with company goals.

Qualifications:

· A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.

· 0–2 years of purchasing or supply chain experience preferred.

· Exposure to ERP systems in a manufacturing environment is required.

· Familiarity with IQMS or DELMIAWorks is a plus.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas) required.

· Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

Working conditions:

Professional office setting workplace working Monday through Friday hours 8 AM – 5:00 PM. May be required to work overtime during the year.

Physical requirements:

Capable of sitting for long periods while performing job responsibilities.
