Extrusion Operator

Duties and responsibilities

• Set up and operation of extrusion processes for medical equipment components
• Crosstrain personnel and receive cross-training to improve ongoing efficiency and business continuity
• Ensure work environment remains clean and orderly
• Power down unattended equipment each evening or when operator leaves workstation
• Monitor extrusion process operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance products
• Routine Quality Control inspection and documentation throughout the production process
• Clean and maintain equipment, tooling, and parts to ensure optimal performance
• Continuously evaluate and improve processes
• Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by your supervisor

Qualifications:

• 1 year of extrusion experience

• Ability to effectively execute the above listed requirements
• Able to follow written and verbal directions
• Able to understand and operate manufacturing equipment properly
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work in a quality management system
• Able to read and write English
• Possess basic hand tool knowledge
• Possess mechanical aptitude and excellent hand-eye coordination
• Interpret prints and work instructions
• The ability to accurately measure parts for Quality Control
• The ability to work independently and with focus
